Today, I took Jasmine to a local pumpkin patch. We took about a billion pictures.
Also, we took her trick or treating to ONE WHOLE HOUSE !!! Seriously, there was only ONE house with the light on. How pathetic a neighborhood we have :-(

Well this week has been hell. I have been sick as a dog for the past week. Symptoms? Fever, headache, sinus, abdominal pain, cramping, chills, the runs, nausea. All this in one week. I feel like I am dying. Tomorrow night, I am headed to Las Vegas with Baby Jasmine. She is going to kill me during the flight. I hope it's not too bad. I intend not to overpack. Whatever I need over there I can buy. I have an appointment tomorrow morning to see what is wrong with me. I think its a peptic ulcer because the abdominal pain has been here waaay before the fever and the chills. I am willing to bet money on it. Wish me well, and wish me a good trip. Stay tuned for Vegas pictures!

After a million years, or at least what felt like a million years, Steven and I ACTUALLY have a day off TOGETHER. We had already decided to make it a day together, all 3 of us. Location? Ocala. Woke up early and went to Walmart while Steven was still asleep that way it was one less thing to do during the day. When I got back, Steven was already at it (studying). He went to get a haircut and got back pretty soon. The barber offered to sell him two tickets to the LSU vs. Florida Gators game tomorrow and he didn't buy them because he found no one to go with. Too bad I work weekends but that's the price you gotta pay if you actually want to raise your kids and not put them on child care. Our first stop was Toys R' Us in Ocala to look for the very elusive T.M.X. 10th anniversary Elmo. No shipments will be coming in until November! Crazy! We bought some lunch to split at Arby's but they messed up our order and it tasted awful. It tasted like it'd been cooked for hours. I couldn't eat but half of it and that's because I felt bad throwing the whole thing away. We were driving around for a while because the movie we wanted to see didn't start until about 45 minutes or so. We drove by a SunTrust bank that was offering free hotdogs to their customers...Needless to say you don't have to offer twice. He rolled up in there, took some money out of the ATM and got us two hotdogs. Too Funny! We finally made it to the theater with our bellies full. Steven was the one who chose the movie. Good choice! Too Bad for him, he spent the whole time outside with Jasmine trying to calm her down. She was INSANE! There is a description of the movie below:
'The Departed' is set in South Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello (Jack Nicholson). While Billy is quickly gaining Costello's confidence, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there's a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy -- and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.
After the movie, Steven and I decided to go to the Melting Pot, but they weren't open til 5pm and it was only 3:30pm. We then decided to go to option #2 - Harry's on the Square. A New Orleans themed restaurant that offers an array of delicious appetizers, soups, salads, lunch combos, poboys, burgers, fried platters, seafood entrees, and much more daily for lunch and dinner.
The bread was so amazing, and the butter was very garlicky! Poor Steven!
First of all, I ordered:
Jambalaya = Harry's own authentic New Orleans rice dish with shrimp, chicken and smoked sausage. A house favorite!
I T W A S A W E F U L ! ! ! I had to return it. I felt so bad.
Steven on the other hand was very pleased with:
Blackened Chicken
A boneless chicken breast served with honey mustard dressing. Sides: White rice and beans.

As if I wasn't already a pain to the waiter, I wanted a Shrimp wrap but they didn't have that kind, just fish wrap or seafood wrap. I got my way and my order was:
Grilled Chicken Wrap - but instead of Chicken I wanted Shrimp. BOSSY!!!!!
Grilled shrimp chopped and complimented with our special creamy balsamic feta cheese dressing. Wrapped in a spinach tortilla with Romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
GOOD FOOD!!!
After we got home, I fed our Jazzy girl some carrots, she took a nap and I sat down to write on my blog and surf the web.
Just a good day all around! Til Next Time!

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006!
It's Tuesday morning. 2:14am to be exact. I am truly bored because everyone is sleeping and I am completely awake. If I was at work I'd be sooooo sleepy. It's not fair. I haven't actually slept in the same bed with Steven for about a whole week, and now that he's here, I'm not sleepy. Jasmine started crying about 20 minutes ago but she fell asleep once I gave her a bottle. A cute surprise today in the mail. A package from Amazon.com came and I decided to wait til Steven got home to open it. Mom's curiosity killed her and she opened the box. Turns out it was something that Steven didn't want me to see. It was a surprise for Jasmine. A present. The most beautiful "Coquí" that talks, counts, and sings in Spanish. Jasmine was trying to eat it. Good thing that it was bigger than her. She actually let me get some decent sleep this morning and afternoon. She only cried when she was hungry. She never really got bored. The Bears won against the Seahawks yesterday. They actually murdered them. Awesome, now they're 4-0 just like the Colts. Imagine a final involving my two favorite teams. That is a good excuse to call off work. I should maybe get Super Bowl off. It would be nice. I should think about it, unless its two teams that I could care less about. I probably wouldn't even watch it. The world is crazy man. I can't believe how obsessed I've become with the news lately, just so I could turn it off and shake my head in disgust. I hate it, but I love it. Mom bought a ticket to go to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving today. Steven and I will be dining with abuela and Jasmine. Don't forget Vicky girl also. Jose and Junito are going with her. Francisco is a bit dissappointed because we won't be going to Vegas for Christmas. I am dissappointed that I can't go up to Indiana for Christmas. I hate working weekends but its the only way I can keep Jasmine out of childcare. I trust NO ONE. Trying to see if I can go to Puerto Rico in January 2007 from the 15th through the 19th. Steven wouldnt be able to go OF COURSE. I'm surprised we travel at all. He is all about studying lately. Paranoid about failing a test that is scheduled for June of NEXT Year! I think he'll pass it even if he takes it right now. He is such a NERD! Too funny! Jasmine started eating green beans yesterday. She didn't make the funny face she made last week when we started her on carrots. It was priceless! Well, 'til next post!

Summary of beautiful things in life!
Jasmine laughs! She knows how to laugh! This is the most exciting development yet. One of the things I really worried about when I was pregnant was Jasmine's potential personality. Would she turn out to be the kind of serious, solemn person who makes big ol' goofs like me feel stupid? Not that I wouldn't love her if she turned out to be a Wednesday-Adams-style stone face, but family dinners might not be such a hoot. But as it turns out, Jasmine not only can laugh, she does — all the time. Steven and I must be the most hilarious people on earth, because Jasmine spends an awful lot of time chuckling her meaty little infant chuckle. It sounds like this: "huh huh, heh."To Jasmine, the most amusing things are the completely stupid noises we make. Here's how to make her laugh: Lay her down on her back with her head propped up on a pillow. Then tickle her belly or nibble on her neck, her ears, or the fat little rolls on her thighs, while saying something like "a boo" or "chiki chiki chiki chiki choo choo." Repeat 9,000 times. It's a laugh riot, according to Violet, who giggles while grinning so hard that the smile might wrap all the way around her head and cause the top to fall off. Here's how to stop Jasmine from laughing: Call Nana or anyone else over and say excitedly, "Listen, Jasmine learned how to laugh!" Suddenly Jasmine's staring up at them instead of chuckling. "I swear she was just doing it. Jasmine! Jasmine! Chiki chiki chiki chiki choo choo." Nope, no laughter, just me making lunatic sounds. We had a terrific moment yesterday, though. I was watching Scrubs this week and I was laughing, suddenly, Jasmine starting laughing out loud too. My baby and I can laugh together! It's like I gave birth to an amusing friend. Jasmine has also learned how to reach out for stuff with quick and sometimes dangerous precision. She is deliciously gorgeous. She is also getting a bit spoiled. I have to hold her a lot. I generally have to hold her when I eat. And lately, her little hands will sneak out before I even see them (the hand is quicker than eye!) and do something like grab the plate, grab the remote and change teh channel as she puts it in her mouth. She even attempts to overturn my coffee. Everytime I pick her up, she grabs my nose or my lips and tries to literally eat me. .Life is pretty satisfying right now. I go out most mornings to do some errand, even if I have to invent stuff, or to the gym. In the afternoons I like to just sit there with Jasmine and make her laugh. I lie on my right side, snuggled around the warm baby. She grabs her bottle, coos, and drifts off to sleep. Sometimes Vicky even joins us, stretching out by my left side. So I have the baby snoozing on my front and the dog against my back, both of them warm and sweet and peaceful. It feels like everything I want in the whole wide world.
